Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) seeks a consultant to contribute to client-facing work, modeling, and reports on energy policy and planning. The role involves delivering findings, developing presentations, and supporting complex analyses for regulatory and policy projects.

You will join a collaborative, hybrid office environment with opportunities across our Boston and San Francisco offices, emphasizing rigorous quantitative work and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in engineering, economics, CS, public policy or related field.
• 3–5+ years in an energy-related field.
• Experience addressing renewable energy and climate change issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of customer work through modeling and presentations.
• Conduct independent research to develop solutions with incomplete data.
• Fulfill end-to-end internal project obligations and QA/QC.
• Present findings to customers and respond to questions.
• Develop tools and modify models to improve functionality.
• Support proposal writing and knowledge sharing
