Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) is a fast‑growing energy consulting firm helping utilities, regulators, policy makers, developers, and investors implement clean energy policies. The Consultants work on high‑impact projects across California, Hawaii, and New York, delivering analyses, reports, and presentations to diverse stakeholders.

You will contribute to project work, manage workstreams, and help create client‑ready deliverables while collaborating across offices in San Francisco,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field
• 3–5+ years in an energy-related field
• Experience addressing renewable energy or climate change issues

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of customer work through modeling, presentations, and reports
• Conduct independent research to develop reasonable assumptions and solutions
• Fulfill end-to-end internal project obligations
• Deliver sections of presentations and respond to questions
• Tackle elaborate analytical tasks and QA/QC of products
• Develop expertise in flagship modeling tools and data vetting
• Assist with proposal writing and knowledge capture for future use
• Translate research findings into clear visuals for clients
