Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) is a fast-growing energy consulting firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, Boston, Denver, and Calgary. We seek consultants who combine strong analytical skills with integrity and a passion for energy to help shape policy and inform investment decisions.

The role involves client-facing work, collaboration across practice areas, and delivering clear, unbiased evaluations for major energy issues.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, economics, CS, public policy, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of related energy experience.
• Experience addressing renewable energy and climate change issues.
• Knowledge in Practice Areas: EPP, TPR, MAV, DTP.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to broad audiences.
• Ownership and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent writing and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assist and/or lead client-facing interactions and define task approaches.
• Lead workstreams and contribute to reports and papers.
• Deliver findings and present to customers; respond to questions.
• Perform QA/QC and develop flagship modeling tools.
• Support proposal writing and translate research into visuals.
• Create client-ready spreadsheets and tools; improve models.
• Track progress against plan and communicate with directors.
