Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) seeks a consultant to help shape energy policy and market analysis. You will collaborate with a diverse team to deliver rigorous research, present findings to stakeholders, and contribute to client-ready reports and tools.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, curiosity, and proactive problem solving within a hybrid, office‑based setting across multiple US locations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of energy-related experience.
• Experience addressing renewable energy and climate change issues.
• Hands‑on experience in practice areas: EPP, TPR, MAV, DTP.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to broad audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with initiative and project-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist or lead client-facing interactions and define tasks for projects.
• Conduct independent research with curiosity to inform solutions.
• Deliver sections of reports and presentations to customers.
• Support QA/QC of products and contribute to flagship tooling as needed.
• Translate research results into clear visual representations for clients.
• Develop client-ready spreadsheets and tools to improve solutions.
