Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) is seeking an Associate to contribute to forecasting models, market analyses, and policy overviews for utility, regulatory, and investor clients. You will work across projects, learning to translate complex energy topics into actionable insights in collaboration with senior staff.

The role requires a Master’s degree or higher and 0–2 years of energy/climate-related experience, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field
• 0-2 years of prior experience addressing energy and climate change issues
• Hands-on experience with Energy Planning and Policy, Transmission, Pricing and Risk, or Market Advisory and Valuation.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of customer work through modeling, presentations, reports, and papers.
• Conduct independent research to support customer strategies and regulatory proceedings.
• Develop competence in at least one topic within your Practice Area and apply E3 tools to client questions.
• Translate research results into clear visual representations.
• Track progress and communicate with project leadership.
