Job summary

LA28 is seeking a Senior Manager, Energy Operations Team Lead to drive the Energy Operations Team across multiple domains including temporary power, LOTO, and energy telemetry for the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

You will report to the Director, Head of Energy Operation, coordinating with internal stakeholders, utility providers, and government agencies to ensure resilient, safe, and sustainable energy delivery for the event.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience managing electrical infrastructure installations.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or construction management.
• Experience with electrical design documents and utility coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination between internal stakeholders and external partners to implement the Energy overlay masterplan.
• Develop data-driven review processes for Energy designs and standards.
• Partner with local trade schools and unions to develop training syllabi for temporary power operations.
• Act as primary venue liaison for facility owners, negotiating equipment footprints and temporary utility placement.
• Map operational boundaries between LA28, utilities, and contractors.
• Design and oversee load-bank testing protocols and commissioning for hybrid power grids.
