Job summary

LA28 is hiring a Sr. Manager, Energy Operations Team Lead in Los Angeles to oversee the end-to-end delivery of portable electrical overlays for Olympic and Paralympic venues.

You will coordinate with utility providers, unions, and venue owners to ensure safe, compliant power delivery across both competition and non-competition sites. Responsibilities span design review, training program development with local trade schools, equipment validation, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience installing electrical infrastructure
• Experience with electrical design documents and utility collaboration
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple venues
• Proven ability to coordinate with unions, vendors and venues

Responsibilities

• Lead Stakeholder Integration between internal teams, TPPs, and engineers
• Develop and enforce data-driven review processes for energy designs
• Create training syllabi with trade schools and unions
• Define minimum technical standards for equipment and verify qualifications
• Negotiate footprints, cable routing, and temporary utility placement with venue owners
• Coordinate with venue engineering teams to protect legacy infrastructure
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and non-disruptive scheduling with partners
• Manage procurement, delivery tracking, and warranty for energy systems
• Lead LOTO procedures design and compliance auditing
• Develop IoT telemetry, EOC dashboarding, and alerting for energy operations
