Haley & Aldrich is seeking an experienced Senior Client Development Manager, Energy, to grow our work with electric and gas utilities, independent power producers, cooperatives, and other energy sector clients. This full-time, local hybrid role involves leading sales activities, creating capture plans, and deepening client relationships across Haley & Aldrich’s energy practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, mechanical engineering, geology, or related technical discipline.
• At least 8 years’ business development, client development, capture, account management, or consultative sales experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience selling environmental services, geotechnical and civil engineering, construction management, or comparable AEC services to energy sector clients, with demonstrated experience selling to regulated utilities.
• Knowledge of electric utilities’ business ecosystem, including regulatory drivers, procurement practices, and capital programs.
• Proven success in creating capture plans, client value propositions, win themes, proposals, and pursuit strategies.
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Deltek Vantagepoint, including pipeline management and forecasting.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement capture plans for priority pursuits in the Energy Market.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline with utilities, energy developers, cooperatives, and oil & gas companies.
• Research market drivers, policy trends, and competitive landscape for regulated utilities and energy providers.
• Provide actionable insights on client needs, market dynamics, and competitive positioning.
• Maintain high-trust relationships with client account teams and align pursuits with differentiated value propositions.
• Facilitate pursuit decisions with Market Leader and Legal to ensure due diligence and risk considerations.
• Understand contracts, pricing structures, and risk management for energy projects.
• Oversee development and coordination of proposals and budgets for pursuits.
• Ensure use of pre-approved responses for prequalification packages; maintain compliance.
• Collaborate with business development, technical experts, and client managers to support cross-selling.
