Job summary

DNV Energy Systems North America is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong technical background in energy technologies and/or project financing experience to lead high-impact M&A advisory engagements and manage strategic customer relationships.

The role combines delivery leadership with business development, mentoring, and cross-discipline coordination across a national footprint.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in energy technologies (e.g. wind, solar, storage, EV infrastructure, decarbonization, midstream infra, thermal generation, data centers, or other emerging energy infra).
• Experience with project financing for M&A advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, multi-discipline and multi-technology due diligence engagements, accountable for scope, schedule, budget, quality, customer confidence, and commercial outcomes.
• Deliver customer-centric technical analysis for energy and infrastructure projects, including review of contracts, financial models, designs, and asset management approaches.
• Provide senior oversight for due diligence execution with QHSE considerations.
• Lead and coordinate technical reviews among internal specialists; establish clear accountabilities and resolve cross-discipline issues.
• Perform/senior review of due diligence including contract and financial model reviews and other technical analyses.
• Resolve technical issues in partnership with transaction stakeholders.
• Lead reporting/quality assurance, synthesizing inputs into clear due diligence reports.
• Lead customer dialogues to understand needs and develop winning proposals; identify opportunities for innovation.
• Support customers through transaction execution, financing, and closing as applicable.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts for the M&A team (tooling, processes, training, lessons learned).
• Adhere to DNV quality management and liaise with QHSE leadership to ensure service quality.
• Mentor Project Managers and Associate PMs, provide input on development and readiness for complex responsibilities.
