Job summary

Generate Capital in the United States seeks a Principal Acquisitions to lead investment opportunities in energy and digital infrastructure, focusing on powering data centers and large loads. You will own underwriting and execution for both third-party and Generate-developed opportunities from diligence to close.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9-10 years of investment experience in energy, renewables and/or digital infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of power and digital infrastructure markets and investment risk profiles.
• Proven ability to originate investment opportunities in power/digital sectors.
• Ability to review financial models and investment documentation.
• Strong executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with partners and lenders.

Responsibilities

• Owning underwriting and investment execution for large load energy assets, from diligence through closing.
• Originating opportunities for third-party and Generate-developed assets.
• Developing market perspective by researching energy developers and large-load customers.
• Scaling Generate’s data center energy platform across cross-functional teams.
• Building coverage of large-load and data center customers as long-term offtakers.
• Collaborating with strategy, legal, finance and asset management.
