Job summary

MD Energy Advisors seeks a Senior Energy Engineer to serve as a technical leader across Higher Education and Federal energy portfolios. This cross-functional role blends engineering, program delivery, and strategic advisory to support complex, forward-looking energy initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, perform site assessments, develop energy solutions, and advance the firm’s platform-building approach while navigating federal programs

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in HVAC design and energy modeling.
• Strong knowledge of large buildings' mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience with building codes and energy efficiency concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite assessments to identify energy savings opportunities.
• Analyze building systems, collect data, and evaluate energy usage.
• Develop engineering solutions addressing current issues and opportunities.
• Lead engineering teams and coordinate with external engineers and suppliers.
• Review energy savings calculations and ROI analyses.
• Present at meetings and trainings for clients and partners.
