Job summary

Energy Sciences is seeking a senior energy engineer to help commercial and industrial clients reduce energy use and improve system performance. You will provide technical expertise through energy-efficiency programs, assessments, and direct-to-customer consulting services from a home-based office in the Metro Detroit area.

Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, performing analyses, reviewing calculations, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline.
• Minimum seven (7) years of professional engineering experience.
• Non-degreed candidates with at least ten (10) years of relevant energy experience may be considered.
• Preferred certifications: CEM, CEA, CMVP, EBCP, PE.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify energy efficiency opportunities at client sites.
• Perform energy and economic analyses.
• Review energy assessments and calculations.
• Collaborate with customers and develop projects.
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations.
• Conduct site surveys and facilities assessments.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
