Job summary

OLA Consulting Engineers, PC is seeking an Energy Engineer in Valhalla, NY with 4–8 years of experience to join our consulting engineering team. You will work on energy analysis studies, commissioning services, field investigations, project development, and improving building system performance for commercial and institutional facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 4–8 years of U.S. consulting experience.
• Experience in proposal writing and project development.
• Experience managing and training junior engineers.
• Experience in performing and managing energy analysis.
• Experience in performing and managing commissioning services.
• Knowledge of automation and controls systems, HVAC, lighting, and lighting controls.
• Experience in writing and reviewing Sequence of Operations for HVAC and lighting systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of building and energy codes and energy standards.
• DOE2, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP or EnergyPlus experience preferred.
• LEED, CEM or Commissioning accreditations preferred.
• Professional Registration, PE (Mechanical) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy analysis studies and energy modeling for projects.
• Provide commissioning services for building systems.
• Conduct field investigations and troubleshooting.
• Support project development and improve building system performance.
• Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, design professionals, vendors and peers.
