Job summary

OLA Consulting Engineers, PC in New York City is seeking an Electrical Consulting Engineer with 4–8 years of U.S. experience to design, document, and coordinate electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will drive design from concept through construction and commissioning, ensuring NEC/NYC code compliance, guiding junior staff, and coordinating with architects and clients in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4–8 years of U.S. experience in electrical consulting or building services.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and NYC codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and REVIT.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design for power, lighting, earthing, and low-voltage systems.
• Preparation of calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordination with architects, other engineering disciplines, and clients.
• Delegate work and manage junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Site inspections, technical support, and commissioning assistance.
• Managing project deliverables within time and budget constraints.
