Job summary

Argus Media in Houston is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its global Consulting Services practice, focusing on energy, biofuels, hydrogen, petrochemicals and fertilizer sectors for the Americas. You will perform extensive research and develop charts to support forecasting and client projects.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline and 1–5 years of energy experience; you must be proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, work well independently and as part of a team,

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitate discipline (finance, economics, engineering, etc.)
• Key experience (1-5 years) in energy or related industries is preferred but not required; with experience in a refining, petrochemical, or fertilizer manufacturing company, or a consultant/advisor to these industries, a plus
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including data management and chart development

Responsibilities

• Deliver extensive research of production, demand, and trade data for various commodities to support supply/demand analysis and forecasting
• Produce analysis and research, develop and deliver charts and diagrams for consulting projects and presentations
• Support consultants on engagements to respond to client inquiries and assist with proposals
• Build, manage and update databases to support consultant work
• Liaise with Argus staff to stay current on Argus products and identify opportunities to promote services
