Job summary

Hanwha Energy USA seeks a Senior Energy Analytics Analyst in Houston to drive data-driven insights across deregulated retail electricity and wholesale markets. You will build forecasting models, price formation tools, and risk analytics for ERCOT and PJM, collaborating with trading, origination, risk, and operations teams.

You will apply Python, SQL, and modern visualization techniques while leveraging Generative AI/LLMs to improve forecasting accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Economics or related).
• 5+ years applying modelling techniques in energy markets.
• Strong ERCOT fundamentals; PJM familiarity preferred.
• Experience with load forecasting, price forecasting, market analytics, risk management, and portfolio optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain analytical models for wholesale and retail energy activities.
• Create load, price, and margin forecasting models for ERCOT and PJM.
• Build dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders; translate business needs into analytics.
• Lead analytics projects from requirements through deployment and support.
