Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Promontory, UT is seeking a Sr/Principal Energetics Civil/Structural Engineer (Level 3 or 4) for 100% on-site work. The role involves sizing calculations, detailing structures and supports, and coordinating across disciplines.

The candidate will perform seismic analyses, code compliance, field inspections, and project management for large projects, with preferred PE licensure and advanced AutoCAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience OR Master’s with 3+ years.
• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experienced with AutoCAD and proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform sizing calculations for structural members.
• Develop details for structures, platforms, and supports.
• Analyze, design, and detail steel, masonry and concrete elements.
• Review architectural systems for structural interaction.
• Perform field inspections and surveys, including seismic analysis when required.
• Project management of large multi-discipline jobs.
