Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT, is seeking a Sr/Principal Energetics Civil/Structural Engineer (Level 3 OR 4) for 100% onsite work. You will perform calculations, develop structural details, and manage large multi-disciplinary projects in a demanding space-related environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive related experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, plus fieldwork capability are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience.
Master’s degree with 3+ years in Structural/Civil design.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance.
Experience with field inspections and seismic analysis.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering calculations for sizing and arrangement of structural members.
Develop details for structural elements, platforms, and supports.
Analyze, design, and detail steel, masonry and concrete structures.
Review architectural systems against structural interrelations.
Perform code analysis per model codes (IBC, NFPA, etc.).
Conduct field inspections to assess existing conditions.
Manage projects and provide oversight across disciplines.
