Job summary

Cooley AI, the innovation arm of Cooley LLP, seeks a Senior Endpoint Engineer to build and manage foundational IT infrastructure. You will deploy endpoints, administer M365, and implement IAM and security policies to support a fast-growing startup environment.

The role covers provisioning, policy enforcement, vendor management, and documentation, with a hands-on, startup‑friendly approach. Location is on-site in Los Angeles with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of directly applicable experience in IT operations, endpoint engineering, or systems administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID/Azure AD) including tenant configuration and security settings.
• Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Intune or Jamf Pro.
• Strong networking knowledge: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi, firewalls.
• Experience with IAM including SSO, MFA, and conditional access policies.
• Scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage endpoint devices from imaging to decommissioning.
• Administer Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Entra ID.
• Implement and manage MDM/UEM platforms to enforce security and device compliance.
• Establish and maintain IT infrastructure including networking and VPN.
• Develop onboarding/offboarding workflows for rapid employee growth.
• Enforce endpoint security policies including patch management and EDR.
