Job summary

Alameda Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI and Pulmonary procedures, ensure instrument processing, and manage equipment and supplies.

The role requires completion of surgical technology training, GI/Pulmonary endoscopy exposure, and BLS certification. Experience with ERCP and advanced endoscopy is a plus. The position is based in Oakland, with routine handling of procurement and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus surgical technology program completed.
• GI or Pulmonary endoscopy program completion preferred.
• Two years GI or Pulmonary endoscopy experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CST/TS-C certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures, including advanced techniques.
• Prepare procedure room and equipment; sterilize, disinfect and calibrate instruments.
• Perform processing and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and equipment.
• Initiate purchase orders for devices and supplies; manage documentation.
• Maintain logs and ensure supplies are not expired; coordinate with biomed and vendors.
