Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician II to provide high-quality support to GI providers and team members. The role includes preparing for procedures, assisting during endoscopy, and turnaround activities with focus on cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and accessories.

Mentorship of Endo Tech I staff is expected, along with independent judgment and clinical skill. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of Endoscopy Technician experience and a current BLS

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of Endoscopy Technician experience required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification required (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopy procedures and turnaround activities.
• Prepare, clean, and high-level disinfect endoscopes and accessories.
• Mentor Endo Tech I colleagues and train new staff.
• Collaborate with GI providers and the health care team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
