Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Endoscopy Technician I to assist GI providers before, during, and after procedures. You will help with room turnover, cleaning and processing of endoscopes, and maintaining supplies and equipment in good condition.

Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or physician, you will interact with patients and staff, ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality of care. Prior endoscopy or patient-care experience is preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of patient care experience in a healthcare setting; endoscopy experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI endoscopy procedures and prepare for room turnover.
• Clean and process endoscopes and accessories; ensure supplies are ready.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and team to support safety and care quality.
