Job summary

City of Denton is seeking an IT specialist to provide in-depth troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics for end user issues. You will manage packaging, desktop imaging, SCCM, Intune, GPO, and device policy administration, while mentoring Support Services staff.

The role supports the end user computing environment, working as escalation point and collaborating with vendors on updates, deployments, and security configurations. Strong ITIL knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Experience with end user computing and IT helpdesk support.
• Knowledge of SCCM, Intune, and GPO for device management.
• Ability to create software installation packages.
• Understanding of Windows OS imaging and deployment.
• Familiarity with ITIL principles.

Responsibilities

• Administers and evaluates technical processes for high system performance.
• Troubleshoots and resolves end user system issues.
• Coordinates with vendors for updates and release testing.
• Communicates upgrades and performance issues organization-wide.
• Creates and manages software installation packages.
• Maintains Windows Desktop OS images using SCCM/Intune/GPO.
• Manages Intune environments including enrollment and reporting.
• Designs and administers device and security policies.
• Drafts Knowledge Management articles for incident resolution.
• Mentors and trains Support Services staff.
