Job summary

Elevate Energy Consulting is seeking a Senior/Lead/Principal Engineer to lead EMT studies and reliability assessments for high IBR penetration and large loads. You will develop models across PSCAD, E-TRAN, PSS®E, and PSLF, validating results and guiding mitigation strategies.

The role requires translating complex results into actionable insights for planning, operations, and investments, with strong communication and independent work capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in power systems and EMT studies.
• 5+ years of professional experience in transmission planning and EMT studies.
• Experience performing EMT studies and phasor-domain transient stability studies.
• Proficiency with PSS®E, PSCAD, and E-TRAN; familiarity with data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute EMT studies to evaluate reliability and stability under high IBR penetration and large loads.
• Develop and validate detailed power system models across platforms (PSCAD, E-TRAN, PSS®E, PSLF, TSAT).
• Perform model benchmarking and IBR/large-load verification.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients; manage multiple projects.
