Job summary

Electric Power Engineers is seeking a Senior Manager with strong EMT modeling background to guide client projects and lead a skilled engineering team. The role focuses on PSCAD/PSS/E benchmarking, automation, and staying ahead of evolving EMT requirements across utilities and ISOs/RTOs.

The right candidate will connect technical depth with commercial strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and help shape the grid of the future. Remote US work is supported with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Extensive EMT modelling experience with PSCAD and PSS/E.
• Ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights.
• Strong understanding of FERC, NERC and ISO interconnection requirements.
• Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
• Experience in client advisory roles and market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentor a diverse engineering team.
• Benchmark EMT models (PSCAD/PSS/E) for generation and load projects.
• Lead automation efforts to improve EMT modeling efficiency.
• Stay current with EMT requirements and participate in forums.
• Interact with clients, translate technical issues into actionable guidance.
• Lead interconnection study reviews and remove project roadblocks.
