Job summary

Electric Power Engineers (EPE) is seeking an Engineer with EMT modelling and power system studies to join our Energy Resources team. You will work with senior leadership to support growth and provide subject matter expertise to clients.

You will perform EMT studies, develop local EMT models, and conduct steady-state analyses. Proficiency with PSCAD/PSSE/ETAP and related tools is required, along with IEEE/IEC/CICRE standards knowledge and client engagement responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of power system modelling and studies.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering with power systems emphasis.
• Experience with control system tuning is a plus.
• HVDC experience is a plus.
• Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform EMT studies including SOV, TOV, harmonic analyses.
• Develop local EMT models and benchmark PSCAD/PSSE.
• Conduct steady-state studies such as load flow and short circuit.
• Utilize PSCAD, EMTP, PSSE, ETAP, CYMCAP for modelling.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE/IEC/CICRE standards.
• Engage with clients and deliver projects on time and budget.
