Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Manager of EMS Sourcing in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid role demands clear ownership of day-to-day CM relationships, strategic sourcing, and strong cross-functional leadership across Engineering, PMO, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

You will drive pricing, NRE, tooling, and capacity decisions, lead RFPs, and shape long-term supplier agreements while guiding post-award governance and risk management in a fast-moving hardware environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in EMS or CM sourcing with CM accountability.
• Proven track record in complex CM negotiations — pricing, MVA, capacity, NRE.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day CM relationships across the contract manufacturing base.
• Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, MVA structures, NRE, tooling, scrap and rework liability, and capacity commitments.
• Lead RFP and competitive bid processes for EMS/CM awards and define sourcing strategies.
• Lead commercial contracting with Legal for long-term supply and manufacturing agreements.
• Oversee post-award contract governance and ensure compliance with commercial terms.
• Build cost models, benchmarks, and should-cost analyses to inform decisions.
• Manage NPI program transitions through CM with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain CM partner performance dashboards and escalate risks.
