The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead EMS/PCB/PCBA manufacturing operations in a high-mix environment. The role demands strong SMT expertise, NPI, DFM, and the ability to drive process improvements and cost reduction while guiding large engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, 5+ years in leadership, and hands-on floor leadership across 175+ staff, with experience in $80M–$100M+ revenue settings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Manufacturing Engineering in EMS/PCB/PCBA contract manufacturing
• 5+ years leading engineering teams in high-mix electronics manufacturing
• Experience managing large engineering orgs supporting 175+ employees
• Experience in organizations with $80M-$100M+ annual revenue
• Strong hands-on manufacturing floor leadership
• Deep knowledge of SMT equipment, programming, and processes
• PCB/PCBA manufacturing, NPI and DFM methodologies
• CAD/Gerber files, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation
• Process optimization and root cause analysis
• Experience with complex PCBAs with high component densities

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering teams supporting PCB/PCBA production.
• Drive process improvements, yield enhancement, quality initiatives, and cost reduction.
• Oversee SMT manufacturing processes, programming, equipment utilization, and production readiness.
• Support NPI activities, DFM reviews, and new product launches.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Provide technical leadership for complex, high-component-count PCBAs.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, documentation, and engineering standards.
