Job summary

e-STORAGE, part of the Canadian Solar family, seeks a Sr Plant Controller Modelling Engineer to develop high-fidelity EMS models for utility-scale projects. You will work on bi-directional power/data flows, digital twins, and edge-to-cloud architectures to optimize performance and reliability.

The role demands advanced simulation skills (PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF), strong collaboration across engineering teams, and a drive to advance energy storage technology in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; power systems focus.
• 5+ years in power system simulation/dynamic modeling for energy storage or renewables.
• Experience with power flow, transient stability, short circuit studies.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed EMS/plant controller models in PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT.
• Verify/validate models across multiple simulation environments.
• Develop digital twin concepts and automation tools (Python).
