Job summary

Merck & Co. in Rahway, NJ, seeks a Senior Empower Technical Lead to support Global Manufacturing Laboratories, improving CDS Platform stability, efficiency, and compliance.

You will coordinate development across DEV/UAT/PRD, act as the technical authority for Empower configuration, and develop interfaces to GLIMS, AHLIMS, and NuGenesis. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in pharma/tech, Empower CDS expertise, and strong English communication; hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience in pharma/tech field.
• 3+ years technical experience with Waters Empower CDS in multi-site enterprise.
• Empower Administration expertise with CDS concepts, client-server installs, user management, security, data workflows.
• Empower Certification preferable.
• Strong understanding of chromatography instruments and lab workflows.
• PowerShell experience optional.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development resources across DEV, UAT, and PRD environments.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for Empower configuration, integration and validation.
• Configure and maintain LACE hardware and images; Windows 11 and Empower client installs.
• Develop and maintain interfaces to GLIMS, AHLIMS, and NuGenesis.
• Perform SDLC activities including SOPs and validation protocols (IQ/OQ).
• Communicate with the Global Empower Team.
