Job summary

MSD in Rahway, NJ seeks a Senior Empower Technical Lead to drive Empower CDS configuration, integration, and validation across manufacturing environments. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure LACE hardware readiness, and develop interfaces to GLIMS, AHLIMS, and NuGenesis while maintaining SDLC documentation.

You will work within a hybrid setup, collaborate with global teams, and rely on strong English communication and pharma/CDS expertise to support GMP-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 5+ years' impact in Pharma/Scientific/Tech/Engineering/Math.
• 3+ years' technical experience with Waters Empower CDS in a multi-site enterprise.
• Empower Administration expertise including CDS concepts, ICOP drivers, method troubleshooting, client/server installs, user management, security, and data workflows.
• Certification in Empower Administration preferable.
• Strong chromatography instruments and lab workflows understanding.
• Optional experience in PowerShell or similar scripting language.
• Experience in Pharma industry and cGMP practices.
• Experience influencing, navigating matrix orgs, and cross-functional partnerships.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development resources and activities across DEV, UAT, and PRD environments.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for Empower configuration, integration, and validation in manufacturing.
• Configure and maintain LACE hardware and images; in-depth knowledge of Win 11 and Empower client installs.
• Develop and maintain interfaces to GLIMS, AHLIMS, and NuGenesis.
• Perform SDLC tasks including documentation (SOPs) and validation protocols (IQ/OQ).
• Communicate with the Global Empower Team.
