Aprio seeks an Employment Tax Manager to join a growing team. The role focuses on advising clients on federal, state, and local employment tax matters, including payroll tax compliance, withholding, and worker classification.

You will lead engagements, review analyses, and mentor staff while developing the employment tax practice. The position offers flexible remote work with preference for candidates near major Aprio markets.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field required.
• Recent experience in public accounting or multi-state payroll tax environment.
• 4–5 years of payroll tax consulting or compliance experience in employment tax.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; exceptional client service.

Responsabilidades

• Advise clients on federal, state, and local employment tax matters.
• Provide guidance on payroll tax compliance, withholding, reporting, and worker classification.
• Lead engagements on complex employment tax issues from mergers or acquisitions.
• Review analyses, assist audits, and deliver client-ready memos and refunds.
• Build client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and coach associates; contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
