Aprio is seeking an experienced Employment Tax Manager to join our growing team. The role offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex employment tax issues, lead consulting engagements, and help expand a specialized practice within a fast-growing advisory firm.

This position supports flexible remote work with a preference for candidates near major Aprio markets (Atlanta or Chicago). You will mentor staff, review deliverables, and contribute to business development while delivering

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• CPP accreditation preferred and public accounting experience.
• 4–5 years in payroll tax consulting and/or employment tax compliance.
• Experience with federal, state and local employment tax matters.
• Strong verbal and written communication; analytical and technical skills.
• Proficiency with tax research tools and payroll software.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a trusted advisor on federal, state, and local employment tax matters.
• Provide strategic guidance on payroll tax compliance, reporting, and worker classification.
• Advise clients on employment tax issues from mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
• Identify employment tax savings and process improvement opportunities.
• Review and prepare employment tax analyses and client deliverables.
• Assist with IRS/state audits, notices, and controversy matters.
• Coach and mentor associates; contribute to practice development.
