Job summary

Aprio is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to lead a dedicated team delivering compliance, consulting, and planning services for individuals, trusts, and closely held businesses. You will drive strategic tax planning, manage complex client relationships, and mentor staff in a dynamic regulatory environment.

You will play a meaningful role in growth of Aprio's private client practice, develop business opportunities, and collaborate across advisory teams to provide holistic client solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in individual tax, trusts, and small business returns in public accounting.
• CPA license or EA designation preferred; Master's in Taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex individual tax returns (1040), trust returns (1041), and business returns (1065, 1120S) for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead tax planning engagements, advising on asset protection, succession planning, and retirement optimization.
• Manage multiple client relationships and engagements with deadlines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing technical guidance and feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Identify business development opportunities and expand services with existing clients.
