Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel for US Employment to advise on a wide range of employment law matters across the United States.

The role reports to the Vice President of Litigation & Employment and partners with Business Leaders and People teams on risk mitigation and policy development. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in labor and employment law, strong counseling skills, and a track record of managing litigation and regulatory matters in a government contracting

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of labor and employment law experience in a law firm or corporate setting.
• Experience counseling employers on complex employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing employment litigation and administrative proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on a broad range of employment law matters.
• Serve as trusted advisor to business leaders and People team stakeholders.
• Manage employment-related litigation and administrative charges; coordinate with outside counsel.
• Oversee internal investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Draft and review employment policies and compliance programs.
• Advise on government contracting compliance and OFCCP requirements.
• Support labor relations, including union matters and NLRB proceedings.
• Assist with training on employment law topics for managers and staff.
