Job summary

Unified Women's Healthcare is seeking a Senior Counsel Employment to provide legal counsel on labor and employment law matters. You will partner with Human Resources, leaders, and management to ensure regulatory compliance and oversee investigations, litigation, and policy development.

The role supports multi-state operations in a hybrid arrangement with on-site presence required 2 days per week in Lone Tree, CO or Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Currently practicing as an attorney (in-house or law firm).
• 4-7 years of experience practicing employment law, in-house or with a firm.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Experience managing employment litigation and conducting workplace investigations.
• In-house corporate legal experience.
• Experience advising on labor relations and collective bargaining matters.
• Professional certifications related to employment or labor law.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted legal advisor to HR and business leaders on employment law matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and update employment-related documents (policies, handbooks, agreements).
• Provide strategic counsel on employee relations matters and workplace disputes.
• Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage employment-related litigation and agency matters with outside counsel as needed.
• Develop case strategies and assess litigation risk.
• Advise leadership on workforce initiatives and restructurings.
• Deliver employment-law training with stakeholders.
