Telecare Corporation seeks an Employment Counsel to advise on employment matters and partner with HR, finance, risk, and leadership to advance business goals. The role reports to the General Counsel with a dotted line to CHRO.

The candidate should have 5–7 years of employment law experience, strong labor relations knowledge, and a track record of handling settlements, agency actions, and supervising attorneys. Full-time role in California.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academics.
• California Bar Admission in good standing.
• 5–7 years of employment law experience (in-house preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience supervising other attorneys.
• Ability to advise clients and manage agency responses.
• Strong client service and issue-spotting skills.
• Willingness to work across related legal areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice on employment matters.
• Partner with HR, finance, risk, and leadership to drive initiatives.
• Oversee settlements and respond to agency actions and demand letters.
• Supervise external counsel and legal staff as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Navigate employee benefit plans and review contracts as needed.
