Job summary

Telecare is seeking an Employment Counsel to provide day-to-day guidance on labor and employment law, reporting to the General Counsel. This role partners with HR, finance, risk, and leadership to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

The attorney will oversee settlement negotiations, respond to agency actions, and supervise other attorneys and staff while maintaining Telecare's mission and values. A California bar in good standing is required, with 5–7 years of experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong credentials.
• California Bar Admission in good standing.
• 5–7 years of employment law experience, including advising clients and handling significant matters.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and other employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel on labor and employment matters.
• Partner with HR, finance, risk, benefits, and leadership to drive strategies and mitigate risks.
• Oversee settlement negotiations, respond to agency actions, and manage external counsel.
• Supervise other attorneys and legal staff and contribute to a diverse legal practice.
