The Northern Trust Company is seeking an experienced employment attorney to counsel Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance, Risk, and business leadership on a broad range of employment law matters in the United States.

You will partner with senior leaders to provide strategic guidance on investigations, litigation, and policy governance, while helping foster a compliant, productive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar membership in good standing.
• 10+ years of employment law experience.
• Experience advising senior executives and HR leadership teams.
• Experience supporting large, complex organizations.
• Experience with employment litigation, employee relations counseling and internal investigations.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal advice on all aspects of the employment lifecycle.
• Lead internal investigations and advise on remediation and consequence management.
• Manage employment-related litigation and agency proceedings.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting employment practices.
• Advise on strategic workforce initiatives and executive employment matters.
• Develop and deliver employment law training for managers, HR professionals, and senior leadership.
