TruGreen Limited is seeking a highly experienced attorney to serve as in-house counsel for employment matters and related litigation in Franklin, Tennessee. The role will handle most employment-related litigation and provide guidance on wage-and-hour compliance.

Key duties include defending claims, risk analysis, discovery preparation, and advising HR on employment law issues while staying current with federal and state regulations. Strong leadership and litigation management skills are required.

Formación

• Juris Doctorate degree and admission to practice in at least one state required, with admission to the Tennessee Bar required within a reasonable period
• 5-10 years of experience practicing law required
• Some exposure to ADA, FMLA, and wage and hour issues required
• Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution programs required
• First Chair litigation and litigation management experience required
• Experience conducting investigations and managing e-discovery required

Responsabilidades

• Represents and defends the company against all types of claims (i.e., auto liability, EEO, administrative complaints and lawsuits)
• Analyzes claims to determine risk of liability and damages to the company. Reviews business practices and makes recommendations to mitigate legal risk
• Assists with preparation of discovery, including interrogatories, document preparation, and related motion practice
• Develops and maintains a process to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
• Researches and documents prevailing wage requirements and concerns
• Oversees an ADA compliance program and leave management processes, provides guidance on accommodation requests, and develops and implements training materials and on-going communication
• Provides advice and support to Human Resources and other business stakeholders on employment law matters
• Researches legal issues and maintains an awareness of current federal and state laws and regulations governing disability and leaves of absence
