Truist Financial Corporation in the United States seeks an experienced Employment Law Attorney to support the Legal Department, HR partners, and risk stakeholders across the employee lifecycle. You will provide practical, solution-focused legal counsel on recruiting, compensation, performance, leaves and accommodations, wage-hour compliance, restrictive covenants, and workplace investigations.

The role manages employment litigation and administrative claims, partners with outside counsel on case

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school and licensed to practice law.
• Minimum of 5 years post-bar experience in law firm, government or corporate setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively and move between matters fluidly.
• Ability to handle a heavy workload, manage stress and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Aufgaben

• Provide support to attorneys within the Legal Department with limited supervision.
• Assess legal risk and provide advice on routine matters and potential exposure.
• Monitor legislation and case law affecting the company and banking industry.
• Prepare or review routine documents and represent the company in transactions or disputes.
• Develop an area of specialization to support lines of business.
• Serve as an individual contributor while guiding paralegal staff on active cases.
