Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking an Employment Counsel to manage day-to-day employment law counseling for ~5,000 employees across 20+ countries and the global People team. You will handle performance management, disciplinary matters, and exits, with focus on agreements, compliance, and AI tool deployments inHR processes.

You will advise on international employment issues, support HR compliance, including EEO-1 reporting and pay equity, and collaborate with outside counsel as needed. A J.D.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active U.S. state bar membership.
• 5+ years of employment law experience, including in-house.
• Experience advising HR on a full range of employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Own a counseling portfolio on performance management, disciplinary matters, accommodations and exits.
• Advise on international employment matters across 20+ country footprint.
• Support employment agreement workflows and related templates.
• Drive compliance for AI tools deployment in recruiting and HR.
