Job summary

The University of Colorado Boulder seeks a Principal Employee Relations Consultant to provide employee relations guidance to HR Business Partners and campus leaders. The role covers performance management, progressive discipline, grievances, and leave while ensuring compliance with university laws and policies.

This role also supports policy creation and training, collaborates with HRBPs, and participates in program improvements to enhance the campus experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5+ years in HR.
• Experience reviewing laws, regulations and policies in HR.
• Experience in performance management, grievance & dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on policies and procedures overseen by Employee Relations.
• Advise on progressive disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Collaborate with HRBPs on employment matters and leave programs.
• Develop policies and training initiatives to improve customer experience.
• Ensure actions align with state personnel rules and university policies.
