Job summary

UCLA Campus Human Resources seeks an Employee Relations Consultant to oversee and manage employee and labor relations across all levels, and to develop strategic management training to proactively support a positive work environment.

This role contributes to one of the world’s leading public research universities by guiding administrators, faculty, and staff through complex policies, union agreements, and disciplinary processes in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional-level human resources experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of HR administration, employment practices, and laws.
• Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and policy interpretation.
• Experience in performance management and progressive discipline processes.
• Ability to lead, supervise staff, and train teams.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication for reports and presentations.
• Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
