Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to support program leaders with HR partnership, employee relations expertise, and guidance that helps build effective teams aligned with the organization's mission. The role includes meeting with VP leaders, guiding HR initiatives, analyzing trends, and managing complex employee relations issues.

It requires strong EI, legal knowledge, and ability to influence in cross-functional settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience across compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent emotional intelligence.
• Strong influence skills and navigating difficult situations.
• Ability to understand and apply laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
• Understanding of organizational hierarchy, jobs, compensation practices, and related administration.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with program VP leaders and their teams.
• Provide HR guidance to support positive outcomes.
• Analyze HR trends and metrics with the HR group to design solutions, programs, and policies.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
• Partner with outside legal counsel as needed.
• Support day-to-day performance management guidance for management, including coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate to strengthen work relationships, morale, productivity and retention.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Input on restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Identify training needs and executive coaching needs.
• Evaluate training programs to ensure objectives are met.
