Job summary

Relativity in Charlotte, NC, seeks an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor for complex ER matters and end-to-end investigations. This senior role partners with Legal and HRBPs, driving defensible outcomes and scalable ER practices.

The role supports managers, aligns ER decisions with global policies, and contributes to risk mitigation, governance, and system-wide improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in Employee Relations or HR compliance
• Demonstrated experience leading workplace investigations independently
• Working knowledge of multi-state employment law and regulatory compliance
• Proven ability to manage high-risk, sensitive cases with discretion
• Strong written communication and defensible documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end investigations into complex ER matters, including misconduct, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations
• Provide legally defensible findings and recommendations in collaboration with Legal
• Advise on high-risk performance cases, PIPs, coaching plans, and separations
• Ensure ER governance, escalation pathways, and risk mitigation across regions
• Coach managers on feedback delivery and documentation; navigate difficult conversations
