Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking an Employee Relations Investigator to lead complex workplace investigations and shape practical employee relations frameworks. You will own investigations from intake through closure, draft objective findings, and collaborate with HR and Legal on interim measures.

A JD is required, active bar membership not required, and occasional travel up to 10% is expected. You will develop playbooks, policies, and training to ensure consistent enforcement of policies, while

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school; active bar membership not required.
• Experience conducting complex workplace investigations from intake to written findings.
• Ability to conduct sensitive interviews and assess credibility.
• Experience drafting or revising employee relations policies and guidance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, and senior-leader matters.
• Own investigations from intake through closure with scope, plans, interviews, evidence evaluation, and findings.
• Produce clear, well-supported investigation reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Manage concurrent cases, maintain records, communicate progress, and escalate risks.
• Partner with HR and Legal on interim measures, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Draft, review, and update employee relations policies, procedures, and guidance with Legal involvement.
• Design and implement frameworks for case intake, triage, risk assessment, escalation, and monitoring.
• Improve workflows, documentation standards, case-management practices, and reporting.
• Analyze case trends and process effectiveness to identify systemic concerns and preventive measures.
• Develop playbooks, templates, and training to ensure consistent policy application.
• Own projects from definition through rollout and measurement.
• Travel up to 10% for interviews and investigations.
