Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Senior Employee Relations & Investigations Specialist to lead confidential investigations, partner with HR leadership, and drive risk-based outcomes. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to manage high‑risk matters.

You will work cross-functionally to ensure thorough investigations, training, and continuous process improvement across regions. A Bachelor’s in HR and 5–7 years of ER experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of employee relations and complex investigatory experience required.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-risk workplace investigations from intake to disposition.
• Develop and implement standardized investigation processes and reporting.
• Create objective, legally defensible investigative reports and action plans.
• Track investigations, outcomes, and disciplinary actions to identify trends.
• Provide guidance on investigation methodology to HR teams and managers.
