Job summary

HomeServices of America is seeking an experienced HR consultant to partner with executives on employee relations, compliance, and HR policy development across multiple states.

You will advise HR leaders on complex ER matters, disability accommodations, workplace investigations, and evolving employment laws, while implementing practical, compliant programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of HR experience, strong written and oral communication, and SHRM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to influence across levels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; multi-tasking capability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word/SharePoint/Teams).
• Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor to HR leaders, managers, and executives on complex employee relations matters.
• Provide guidance on disability accommodations, workplace investigations, performance issues, complaints, and conflicts.
• Assess risk and recommend compliant solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Maintain expertise in federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
• Monitor regulatory developments and lead implementation of required changes.
• Lead or support compliance reviews, audits, and HR initiatives.
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies and programs.
• Communicate complex HR topics clearly to diverse audiences.
