Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in labor relations or employee relations is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Personnel Administration, Industrial Relations or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to conduct investigations, grievances, and other employee relations issues.
• Experience with union contract administration and NLRA compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsels and advises employees on workplace issues such as attendance, performance and interpersonal communication.
• Participates in union grievance administration and assumes responsibility for grievance administration in the absence of the Manager of Workforce Relations.
• Administers the Substance Abuse Program, Attendance Control Program, and the Company’s Standards of Conduct.
• Conducts investigations involving employees to include represented, non-represented, and contract workers as well as other compliance-related matters.
• Prepares corrective action memos and written warnings.
• Reviews and recommends appropriate follow-up action for employees who are absent without approved leave.
• Manages the tracking and analysis of employee relations metrics.
• Completes assigned projects as needed involving the research and organization of information used for the development or modification of polices or procedures.
